It mostly applies to indoor, very dim lighting.
- Shoot RAW
- Use a Fast Lens with Manual Override or Manually Focus
- Over/Underexpose Depending on the Shot You Want
- Don’t Worry About White Balance…Yet
- Crank Your ISO Up Modestly
- Convert to B/W or Use Crazy Color Processing
- Only Sharpen After You Noise Process

I don't see noise to be a problem as long as the tones are preserved and the shot not blurry...
ReplyDeleteRule 4 is only made possible by rule 1.
Underexposing will enable you to use a faster shutter to freeze action.
Rule 2 is a bit of budget overkill and I don't get why manual focus helps in difficult lighting... when using an AF-Assist light...
